“Exposition of the Epistle to the Romans” by Robert Haldane

The key verse in the history of the Reformation is “For in it (in the gospel) the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith. As it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Rom 1:17. It was this verse that the Lord used in Martin Luther’s life to save him, and to show him the meaning of the gospel.

Because of that, the Epistle to the Romans is considered a very important book. It sets forth the gospel in a systematic and clear way.

In my opinion, Robert Haldane’s “Exposition of the Epistle to the Romans”, is the best commentary on the book of Romans. I highly recommend it.
